I am having some problems with a card reader. (Vantec UGT CR912)

I am running XP Home and Windows sees the device but cannot read the flash
card. It is a Sony Memory Stick Pro 1 Gb. What do you think is the problem?
Everything looks fine in the Device Manager and all the LCD'S are fonctioning
on the reader. Any suggestions?

1. Try the flash card in another reader. If it doesn't work there, you
know the flash card is damaged and should be replaced.

2. Try a different flash card in your reader. If it doesn't work, you
know that slot on the reader is damaged.

Does the card reader show up in My Computer with drive
letters assigned? Has the Flash card been formatted?

Yes it does; as drive "I". And again yes. I have been using it for the past
two weeks in my camera with no problem. Also I can download the photos
directly from the camera to the PC using the Sony USB connection cable, but
that is far more complicaed then just popping the card into the reader.
