I'm running IE version 6 with SP2. I keep getting a pop up window on the task
bar saying: "USB Device Not Recognized, One of the USB devices attached to
this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. For
assistance in solving this problem click this message"
I've tried to click and it shows an Unknown device, i have tried to
uninstall this device and within 10 sec' "new hardware found" shows up and
this process strarts all over.
Any advice on how to stop this will be greatly appreciated?

This probably isn't an IE issue, but one with your OS. What version of
Windows are you using? Do you have anything plugged into your USB ports?
Or had previously and didn't detach correctly?

Running XP Home. I do not have anything plugged into USB ports. There was an
old printer plugged in, my laptop does not have a printer port so I use a
cable with parallel port and usb port, I'm not sure if this device was
detached correctly?
