When i connect an external USB drive, I get no "bing" and no prompt that the
system has found new device, like wise there is no Icon on the system tray
that a new drive is present. However, a new drive does show up in explorer
and a drive letter is assigned. I can access the drive with out issue.
Without the icon being there, i can't stop the device for ejection. how do
i get the icon back on the system tray?

Thanks

In your BOIS try to disable the "Legacy USB Support" option. check that
and then plug in your device. also make sure that the correct drivers
are loaded for that particular kind of device.

Disabling the BIOS Legacy USB Support will do nothing as far as the
operating system is concerned. The BIOS Legacy Support is for when you want
to connect your usb mouse/keyboard outside of Windows and normally should
be enabled.

Hi All,

Looking for USB and Sata Controller, any idea where to find it? At least 3
external USB ports and 1 internal Sata port.
