I have since a few days one problem. I connected my 1GB USB Stick to the USB
Port and I hear the Beep for Detection, but I see nothing in the explorer.
So i looked to the comupter administration point and there i saw the usb
stick without a drive letter. After giving a new letter i can open the device
from there but not from the explorer. After I reboot is the story from new
beginning.

Pherphaps someone can help me
PLEASE !:)
thanks

I have a similar problem, but found the stick in Control Panel under Portable
Media Devices. From there I was able to move files around as expected.

Each time I load the flash drive, windows tries to install drivers but
cannot find them.

Does this help?

It would appear that, when new hardware is identified, Windows XP Home does
not automatically look in the c:\windows\inf folder for the driver. When I
told the wizard to look in that folder, the drivers were loaded with no
problems and everything is fine again.

What has caused this, I do not know...but all seems ok now.
