Hope somebody can help me. Being new to video editing I thought using Movie
Make would be a good start. I have tried to download clips via a USB cable as
my laptop does not have a firewire port. The camcorder is recognised, but
when I go to download I get the following error message 'to many events for
interface to fire from' and I cannot get to download anything. Does anybody
know how to overcome this?
Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks

I'm afraid MM does not work with USB 99.9% of the time, so the way to
overcome this is to by a firewire pcmcia card if you have a pcmcia slot on
the laptop.

Nick,
I have been using a device made by Pinnacle for 2 years without a single
problem. It connects to my desktop via USB and to my camera via a S-VHS for
video and a simple RCA for audio. When I capture videos in MM I have to
specify the inputs for audio and video (though it usually remembers the
settings).

I just thought of something else. My pc has 4 USB inputs in the back and 2 in
the front. If one of the front ports is already being used when I plug my
Pinnacle device iinto the other my computer does not recognize it. It is not
the fault of the device because after testing I descovered the pc never likes
both front ports being used at the same time. Don't know if this helps but
maybe it's a start.
