I want to move an old hard drive from a pc to a hard drive enclosure.
Can anyone point me to recommendations of brands and models?

I think your best bet is reading through the archives of this
newsgroup.

My guess would be that for an older disk cooling is the
primary issue. Don't get anything without a fan.

Yeah, for a new disk it is obviously not important.
