USB Capture Device not dected

I have a "Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe" USB capture device attached to my note book. The unit works well under Studio 8 and I am impressed with it overall.. WMM say's that there is no capture device dected and this frustrates me. I am happy with studio 8 but would like to play around with WMM. Any ideas on solving this problem (if it can be solved that is)????

Do you use a hub?
If so, try connecting direct to the computer.
I spent 2 weeks trying to get my Belkin Videobus2 working!
I was on the point of returning it, and then I tried bypassing the
hub,,,,Bingo!

new PC running XP home and connected a Dazzle w Studio 8
and can't get 8 to capture my analog signal. Have you had
this problem?

I had the same problem with studio 8 until I downloaded an upgrade from pinnacle's website. Give them a vist and get the latest update for free. this should help.. Cheer

I dont use a hub. So I guess that can't be the problem here. Thanks for your suggestions..
