How to make a bootable CD with the right drivers to access an external USB
drive? Then I want to use it to Ghost the system over to the said USB
drive.

Thnx,

Andre

A disk imaging program CD is bootable. If you purchase via download, the
program will allow you to make a bootable CD.

Whether it comes in the box or is created from the program, the bootable
CD will have all the software needed to access your USB drive.

Which version of Ghost--16-bit (Ghost 8/2003) or 32-bit (Ghost 9+)? Note
the 32-bit versions come with (or allow you to make) a recovery CD, but
those only let you restore a pre-existing image, not create an image or make
a clone. With the 16-bit versions, you may or may not need to add a DOS USB
driver to your CD (it depends somewhat on what USB support the BIOS
provides).

Regardless, check with the folks over on the radified.com forums. That's
where the real Ghost experts hang out, and they've got lots of experience
and how-to guides for what you want to do.
