Hi all,
I have no success to install XP as a virtual OS via VMware on a USB
device.
I can choose the USB device for install via VMware, but the wonderfull
slipstream XP CD "says" then, that there is no harddrive ,where it can
install itself.
So the only possibility (I thought at the moment ) for VMware
that is remaining is, to put a ready VMware Windows XP Professional.vmx
on a USB device and try to start it from there.
But I have not enough knowledge about VMware, how to achieve this.
So, any help is welcome.
I have a normale XP SP1 Professional.vmx image from Vmware, stored in
"Eigene Dateien".
Can this be edited ^^ in any way from outside or only until if it is
running?
Nice to hear from you
Dietmar
PS: The reason, why I try to use VMware is simple. If this is possible,
you can run your compi nearly without the original Bios.
But there is no USB boot option in the virtual Phoenix Bios of VMware.
