USB Boot & EWF

hi all~

Thanks for reply my last question abount FBWF.

Now i get a new question about USB Boot and EWF. I build a xpe OS in USB
flash memory, and i can boot into windows right after finishing FBA. but the
EWF cant be executed right.
When i use the EWF API function of "EwfMgrGetProtectedVolumeList" and get
the error message "EwfMgrGetProtectedVolumeList failed LE = 3".
if using the console command of "ewfmgr c: -enable", "Failed getting
protected volume configuration with error 50. The request is not supported."
returns.

Maybe EWF dont support USB Boot because that USB flash memory cant do
partition ? (<- my boss said...)
Or just i did something wrong?

Hayes,

Since you can't create partition on the USB flash you've got it is likely removable media. Hope you use EWF RAM Reg mode then.
Just in case, read this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/814257

Please check out \windows\fba\FBALog.txt log file to see if there ere any errors related to EWF logged.
