Hi!
I use an Eicon USB ADSL model to connect to the internet. When I tried to
configure NAT on our Windows 2000 Server, the Dial-up connection did not
show up. When I checked the properties for ports, the ASDL device showed
there but it won't let me enable it for routing (shows -1 for the number of
available channels).

Is it not possible to configure a demand dial interface to use a USB ADSL or
am I missing something? Incidentally, the ASDL device does not show in the
list of modems (in the Control Panel "Phone and Modems Options" applet
either). Have this nagging feeling that I'm missing a step somewhere!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The ONLY way you can use NAT is if the USB Device is detected as a network
card to the OS. If you are unable to get this to happen (try different
drivers from the device maker), then you will have to use Internet
Connection Sharing. :(
