These USB to IDE adaptors for regular hard drives. Anyone tried them; do
they work, like the one from Kingwin?

i have one, designed to take cd's and hdd's, works fine, not a kingwin
though.

I've got one called 'easy IDE'. I've used it with half a dozen HDD's two
different DVD burners and a CDRW/DVD combi drive. All worked perfectly.

Excuse my late post to this thread, I've only just got here !
Steve, which flavour of USB did you use ? Did you get a chance to try
the CDRW and/or DVD on USB1.1, if so I'd be very interested in your
results with it.
( I am thinking that CD should be ok but that DVD is being a bit
optimistic ?? )

Thanks for the link.
