Sorry if I repeat this topic, but this problem is driving me crazy:
My usb memory worked just fine under SP1.
After I installed SP2, it doesn't work properly.
When I plug it, often it's not recognized by the system,
or just stop to function after few seconds.
It's "Super Flash Drive" 256 MB 2.0
Help, anyone?!!

Thanks.

Try this, go to device manager and look down at the bottom of the list and
expand USB controllers. Remove the "USB Mass Storage Device", reboot your PC
and then insert the memory stick. It should re-detect the device and clear
the problem.

Thanks! Checked as you pointed, but don't have such device in the list.
Maybe, that's the problem. My best guess is that SP2 removed something,
only problem is that I don't know what is that something.

It may not work but have you tried "Add Hardware" with the memory stick
plugged in.
Neil

Yes, I've tried that also, but still nothing.
There's a little red LED light on the stick that should flash as it's being
accessed by system, but that led stops to flash after few seconds.
Sometimes system even reads the contents of the stick, but trying to open a
file from it, momentarily kills accessibility.

The only other option is to remove the USB hub in device manager. Make sure
all the USB devices are uninstalled and then reboot, let windows detect the
USB devices again.

Some of these sticks have a lock. You have press a small button for x
number of seconds to unlock the USB stick so that its contents can be read.
I don't know if your USB stick has a lock or not but the darn button are so
tiny (and not always documented in the manual) that they're easy to miss.
