USB 2 pc card

I need help configuring my presario with xp.

I have added a usb 2 pc card that shows up with a "not
enough resources" (c 12) error.
This is what I have attempted so far:
1) System will not allow me to reconfigure resources
using the manual selection

2) I have attempted to disable the installed usb 1 jack,
along with disabling other "non-needed" resources; no luck

3) I have downloaded a bios update from compaq, but can't
use since I don't have a floppy drive

4) used selective startup to turn off all unneeded
programs to see if that would help (didn't think it
would, but getting desperate now)...no luck

any suggestions?

Not relevant for the resource problem and should not help.

BIOS update *can* help - esp. if adviced so by Cpq support.
Have they adviced you this update?

Suggestions:
1. Ask Cpq support about bios update wrt. your specific prob.
2. If you lost your external floppy, maybe there is a CPQ service lab near you.
