Right click on My Computer and select Properties. From the Hardware tab
click on Device Manager.

Expand the line for Universal Serial Bus Controllers and if you see the
words 2.0 or Enhanced there, they are USB2.0.

Hi,

In device manager, double click the "universal serial bus controller", if you can find USB 2.0 root hub and/or XXXXXPCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller, then your PC has USB 2.0 support. However, if you can only find the XXXXPCI to USB Open Host Controller, your PC can only support USB1.1. You need to buy an PCI USB 2.0 card to support USB 2.0 devices.
