usb 2.0 hub & BSOD

I have a self powered usb 2.0 hub that works in my older computer, winxp
machine. If I plug it into any usb 2.0 port in my new computer, winxp, I
get a BSOD. Connected it back to my old computer....works fine. Other usb
2.0 devices function normally in my new computer. Weird stuff...any help
appreciated. TIA
