I've buied a external usb 2.0 harddisc case for my 200gb
disc. The case and my hardware should support usb 2.0.
but when i start the disc it says: highspeed hardware at
lowspeed usb-controller. I don't know why? What can I do?
I've got XP Home SP1.

maybe some of your usb ports are usb1.1 and some are
usb2.0?

Do you have a USB 2.0 controller on your motherboard or on
a PCI card? Also, do you have usb2.0 drivers installed?

All ports are USB 2.0. I've got a USB controller on my
motherboard. My driver should be for USB 2.0, because it
is from Windows and there aren't newer versions
available. I've got version 5.1.2600.1106.

are you sure the driver is for usb2.0? it will
say "enhanced" or high speed or usb2.0 in the device name.

often, regular usb 1.1 drivers get installed for the
usb2.0 controller and it will only work at low speed.

And where can I find drivers for usb 2.0?
I have installed the latest ones I have found at
Microsoft and Intel for my hardware.
