USB 2.0 Flash Drive and my Floppy Drive

Okay when I use my Pine Flash Drive that I got for
christmas, or rather when I pull files off of it, the
floppy drive just goes out of control with all of the
clicking and griding noises that it makes when its
pulling stuff off of the floppy.

WTF is this?
