USB 2.0 Capture Device

Hi Folks:

Can anyone tell me why I cannot choose "Digital Device Format (DV-AVI)" for
my video setting when trying to capture from my Sony DCR-HC20 camera using
USB 2.0?

Movie Maker works with firewire connections to capture DV-AVI files.... with
USB, it captures as WMV.
