Does anyone know for a fact that Windows XP Professional
purchased from a Canadian reseller will work correctly in
the U.S ? I have been advised that cross border software
sales in systems built out of Canada with the MS/XP Pro
Software on it will not function correctly on the U.S
side of the border and in fact a U.S Client advises me
his software is not working correctly since he got it,is
this a correct assumption? and if so does it apply to XP
Home edition also?

If it works ok when you take it back across the border then there is no problem, stay where it works. :-)

Randy;
I would be very surprised if that was true, an I don't see how it
could be.
What would the differences be that would cause this?
Ask your source for specifics.
My Windows XP Home and Pro purchased in US function fine in Canada.
I do not have the COA from the boxes of Windows XP Home or Pro, so I
can't verify those.
However looking at other boxes I have available:
Combat FS, Combat FSIII, Zoo Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania, Server
2003 Enterprise all say the same thing on the COA label on the box
"For distribution in USA?Canada only"
Some bought in US, some Canada, all work.
I think a salesperson has a kid that needs braces.

What exactly does the clients software do?
There is most likely another cause.
