Hi, Just to be proper, I will inform you all that I first tried this post in
the Vista Forum, since I thought it might be related, but since I am getting
no responses, I'm figuring that maybe Outlook is a better place to post. I
apologize for the double post, and here goes...

I'm on Vista Home Premium 32-bit and Outlook 2007- and Vista is running very
smoothly for the most part.

My problem, though, is that when I click on a web Url in an email in Outlook
2007 or even from within Windows Mail, I get no web page or anything. It's
like the link is dead.

This may be just a configuation issue about Outlook or Windows Mail, but it
didn't start happening until I recently upgraded to Vista.

I appreciate any assistance... Many Thanks, Frank

it's not a config issue - at least not with outlook. Have you tried reset
web settings in IE's Tools, internet options dialog?

That certainly seems logical but my internet security level setting is at
medium-high, which is where I've always had it.

What other settings, in specific terms, could I look at changing? There is a
box that is checked that says the 'Protected Mode' is enabled, but IE does
not like it when I disable that.

What else should I look at? Or should I disable the 'Protected Mode'?

Thanks, Frank

Many Thanks for your help. To my surprise, an MVP in the Vista group helped
solve it. Go to the Control Panel to 'Default Programs' and make sure IE has
all its defaults.

Sure enough, it only had 4 out of 9, so I reset it to all 9 defaults and
Voila, it worked.

Many Thanks, Frank

I think resetting web settings woulda done the same thing, had you tried
pressing that button. :)
