I had a mozilla browser that I got rid of. It was however able to put a
shortcut icon in the quick launch task bar at the bottom of the screen that
caused a selected site to come up.
Is there a way to put a site icon (url address) in quick launch which will
open IE at a specific site (not the home page)?

Hi,
Try this:
Find "IExplore.exe" (probably in Program Files\Internet Explorer)
Right-click and drag IExplore.exe to the desktop and choose "Create
shortcut." Right-click that shortcut> Properties> Target, modify the Target
to include the URL.
Example:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
becomes
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.yahoo.com
Note a space between EXE" and ww
Rename the shortcut if desired.
Drag that shortcut to the Quicklaunch bar.

Hope this helps,

Margaret, I tried everywhich way to "drag" the URL to the quick
launch....no luck. Followed Don's method and it worked great. Thanks to you
both for your help though. It works fine.
Sincerely,
