URL redirect

When I type an address in the main address bar it
redirects me to other search engine sites. When this
happens numerous pop ups occur. How can I stop it from
redirecting.

Find a good spyware removal tool. This will help
significantly!

If not, download and use:
http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/

This will do a LOT of different things for you. But
caution should be used on some!

URL redirects are caused by unwanted Spyware that installed
"without" your consent.
