OK whenever i want to use the autocomplete for my
favorites, instead of typing in the first few letters of
its name, i have to first type in the folder name and
then i get a list of my favorites in that folder.. it
wont work if i just type the name of it if its in a
folder.. . is there any way to keep them in folders
and/or somehow keep them catagorized but still not have
to go to the catagory before the link every time?
thanks

If it is a site you have visited at least once its URL should be in your
History so you may be faster accessing it with that instead of with the
Favorite. Also, the Favorite URL goes into the TypedURLs list
so an alternative, again for second use, would be to press F4 and
find it in there.

BTW you have just disproved an assumption I have always made
that all entries in the TypedURLs list are made available to the
AutoSuggest list. E.g., I typed L to bring up the Links folder,
pressed End and appended a backslash then cursored down
to one of my Links and pressed Enter. After this, typing L still
brought up only Links though the Links item that I had opened
was present in the TypedURLs list when I pressed F4.

I don't have any reasonable explanation for why that entry should be
suppressed in the AutoSuggest list, especially when I can see it
in the TypedURLs list. (I do understand why in general container
objects are listed without their contents but the TypedURLs list is
only 25 entries max so it wouldn't cause too much clutter.)

Send Microsoft a suggestion: (press Alt-H,k)

Good luck
