Mario

Hi, I have xp home edition and would like to know how to
get access to my computer via a url. For example I would
like to access my computer to view an html file from
another computer. What do I need to install?

Thanks.

Mario,

You need to use a third-party software such as Remotely Anywhere. If you have XP Professional, [fyi] you could try Remote Desktop Web Connection: Set Up Remote Desktop Web Connection:

You can connect to your computer using the IP Address - Remote Desktop Web Client, an extension of Remote Desktop.

For XP Home, only Remote Assistance is available and not accessible through an URL as you say.
