I wonder if anyone can help me...I have been away and
when I got back to work, someone else had created a
username on my pc. I am running XP pro. Anyway, I have
deleted the user off my computer, however, people are
still not able to print to the shared printer on my pc,
as it still comes up with the other user name, to login
to my pc, and I do not have his password. I thought by
deleting his account, it would remove all reference to
his name. How do I remove his account completely, so
that we can print to my printer? I don't even have a
password on my computer, but it just always points to the
other guy....

Is there anyway of not having any uses??? Or will there
always be a user account...is that how it has been set
up??

Please help, I am getting frustrated.

Thanks

Couple of things to try. First right click on my computer and selet manage.
Under the Local users and Groups option, you wil see a sub-folder for
Users. This is the location of all the users that are currently listed as
having accounts on the machine. Delete the account in question. Or right
click on my computer and select properities. Select the advanced tab and
then the User Profiles box. This will take you to a list of the current
users and the profiles they have established on the machine. Delete the
user in question (or delete the unknown user). You may have deleted most of
the information pertaining to the mystery user but there could be some
pointers left over. This will delete all references to a particular user.
