Good day.

I really need some help! Someone here at our offices
deleted a Access database
file. I retrieved the file, but now it doesn't want to
open!!!!!!

It gives me the following error : Unrecognized database
format (.mdb)

Will someone please let me know what I need to do to make
this database to work as soon as possible!!!

Thank you

You often get that error if the database is corrupted. You should try to
compact and repair it. You might need to download and use a product called
JetComp. It will often repair problems that Access can't.

If that does not work, you could try creating a new databse file and
importing the objects, but I doubt it will be able to see them if it is in
bad shape.

Finally, restore from a backup file that does work.

Hope that helps.
