Can i know if i set up client rule on my workstation then does the server rule still apply on my workstation
 
Depends on the version of Outlook. I believe with Outlook 98 you had either
server side or client side rules. With Outlook 2002 and 2003 you can have
both. Don't know for Outlook 2000 any more. I believe both as well.
