Hello!
Can anybody show me the tutorial or smth like on how to make share

computers are in WindowsXP.

askar

For this you have to Just install the File & printer sharing service.Log on
with Admin group.Right Click to My Network Places select Active Local Area
Network right click it go to properties then Install File & Printer Sharing
for Microsoft Networks. Then right click on the folder which you want to
share, click to
properties & then sharing permissions add the users to whom you want to give
permission.A Server Or Active Directory Users required for it.
For this you need a NTFS file system. So that you can manage
security rights on the folders.

You need to turn off Simple File Sharing, so as to disable Guest access
(which allows anyone to connect) This is in the folder properties of My
Computer.

Then, create a user-account on the 'server' computer for the user who will
connect to the share. This account should match the one on the user's own
computer, with which they normally log-on.

Create (or open) the share. On the share's properties page, set the SHARE
permissions so that only this user can connect. Leave the filesystem
permissions strictly alone.

That's all there is to it, basically. You don't need a 256-bit version of
Linux, or a zatnik'atel for that matter. <g>

No Problem till you can share folders but you can't protect them from
accidentily deleted by the users.

Thanks Ian. I personally found this guide very helpfull, although I have one
problem. Maybe you or someone else can point me in the right direction to
solving this.

Once I in the share permissions remove the "All" permissions (I want to
share some folders for some users on my LAN, and others shall have no access
at all to the folder), no one can access the folder, even though i create
their user on my computer and give the access to it. If i recreate the "all"
permissions, they once again have access. What am I doing wrong ?
