Have got Outlook 2000 on Win 2000

Why is it that when a message is sent, it is not moved into the Sent Items
folder, it remains in the Outbox as being unsent?

I have tried everything now to change it and I cannot seem to rectify this.

Any ideas??

Hi Ben,

I have the same problem. Outlook 2002 Win XP. This only
happens with attachments. The mail stays in the outbox
bur actually the addressee receives it and continues to
receive multiple copies every time I send and receive
until I move it out of the outbox. The mail never goes
into the sent items folder.

I hope someone has a solution for us.

Hi Ben,
Try re-setting your "save sent messages" options:
Turn on or off saving a copy of messages you send
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options.
Select or clear the Save copies of messages in Sent Items
folder check box.
Note To save a copy of a single message you send, click
Options in the message, and then select the Save sent
message to check box. To specify a folder you want the
message saved in, click the Browse button.

See if that helps.... John Casey

Hi Ben,
I tried to update with an answer, but it didn't post...
I'll try it again...
Have tried to re-set your options box??? Here are the HELP
instructions:
Turn on or off saving a copy of messages you send
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options.
Select or clear the Save copies of messages in Sent Items
folder check box.
Note: To save a copy of a single message you send, click
Options in the message, and then select the Save sent
message to check box. To specify a folder you want the
message saved in, click the Browse button.
If this doesn't work, I am at a loss...
Good Luck,
John Casey
