We have AD at our site, there is problem with urgent replication.
I am guessing this is the problem cause when a password is changed from the
desktop they lose authentication to the exchange server and it then prompts
for a password, also shares on the server are not autheticated either. All
systems are part of the same net on the AD. Can anyone help with identifying
where the problem resides and how to correct this.

I'm not sure that what you're describing is a problem, based on what you're
describing. If a user password is changed administratively, the user needs
to immediately log off and then log on with their new password. Otherwise
they won't be able to authenticate to the various resources that are tied to
that password.

What I am describing is system prompted password changes, say you get a prompt to change a password in x amount of days and you apply the change.
At this point the user is then propmted for password for (Outlook) other AD
resources, so then the newly applied password does not replicate throughout
the AD.
This will generate service request and password are then required to be
changed adminstratively. I certainly hope you are not saying that if i change
my password at the desktop that I am required to log off and sign back in to
get AD resources. I hope that this description is sufficient. Thanks in
advance.

How many AD domain controllers do you have? Have you checked the event logs
for any errors in replication?
