I have found a document on how to install acrobat reader 6.0 siletnly, and
have successfully installed with a batch file using an administrator
account. Now i need acrobat reader to be installed on 2000 machines and i
do not want to log in to everymachine. The users will not be able to run
this batch file because it requires administratirve rights to install
software, is there a way to run this batch file as a user and still be able
to install the reader?

Arsen! Chriss!

Chriss has the right idea ( naturally! ). You can actually install Adobe
Acrobat Reader 6.0 via GPO. There is a native .msi file but it is not easy
to find. It has been so long since I have done it I do not remember the
exact location of it but here, in a nut shell, is how to do this:

1) install Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 ( I think that 6.0.1 is the latest
version ) on a WIN2000 Professional machine. I am sure that this will work
on a WINXP machine as well. Just select all of the defaults.
2) On that same machine, do a search for *.msi on your C:\ and you will come
up with the .msi file for Adobe Acrobat. It is located in a folder buried
deep in Program Files ( IIRC ). Simply copy the entire folder ( IIRC, you
do not need each and every one of the files in that folder...I think that
you need only the .msi file and one or two others....play with it if you so
choose ) to your 'Distribution Point' and then create the GPO according to
basic GPO rules...
