Urgent! Receiving a million messages from Microsoft!

You're not alone. I'm getting hundreds a day. Definitely
not from Microsoft. Definitely a security threat. My
firewall is picking them up and stripping the attachments.
Most appear to be the W32.swen.A virus. Don't know how you
can stop them from coming other than blocking key words
with a mail filter.

Filtering is a good idea, I have designed one that is 100% effective on
infected emails with no false positives. http://nakawe.sf.net/MMM3
You might also want to report the emails to the originating
IP-adress-owners so that they can help identify the infected computers.
Since it is spread from infected computers that is the only way to stop
the virus.

I send out notices a few days apart so that the ISP's have a chance to
act on the reports. Inbetween that I just delete them by means of my filter.
