When i was using Excel, it is now in a strange mode,
where I cannot use the keyboard and any pointer movement
seems to select rows and columns!!!!!!!!!! ESC key or
other keys that I tried do not release this "pointer
lock" which seems to be selecting new cells depending on
the direction I move.

Only keyboard keys that I can use are CTRL-ALT-DEL (don't
want to kill my data) or ALT-TAB to switch apps. Even if
I switch apps, the pointer movement is tracked in Excel!

Help!

Is your Scroll Lock on?

I turned on and off the scroll lock and it seems to not
make a difference. The cursor is showing up as an "arrow"
and I cannot "escape" out of that mode - I cannot even
activate the ALT+F menu to save the document.
