Hi all,
Using Access 2002 I cannot create a PivotTable view of a form, table or
query. When I switch to PivotTable view I see:
(1) A blank white form with no regions outlined on it, according to help I
should see places to drag fields to, ie; columns, rows, details etc, there
are no such places.
(2) Another form with the fields listed, if I drag from this I can only
drop
on to the body of the first form and each field forms a list running
downwards starting at the lefthand side. I cannot get the fields to go
anywhere else. I cannot alter the values in the combo box at the bottom of
this form to set where the field goes.
(3) The PivotTable menubar opens but most of the buttons are greyed out,
none of the formatting options are activated. None of the active options
do
anything to the two forms open.
I have tried to find a fix through the newsgroups, but have not been
successful.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
Behrak

What is the Record Source of your form? Have you included bound controls
for the fields you want in the Pivot Table on the form?

P.S. Also saw this in Forms or FormsCoding. It's OK to cross-post to a
couple of likely newsgroups, but please don't multi-post the same message
individually to multiple newsgroups.

Behrak-

I have this exact same problem and I cannot find an answer
for it. This problem occurs in my database with linked
tables to a SQL server, in the Northwind sample database
when writing a new select query (I have even converted the
Northwind database into the Access 2002 format), and in a
plain table created by an INSERT INTO command.

If you locate the solution, I would love to have a copy of
it. I'll forward you any information I find also.

Thanks.

I have the same exact error and cannot find a solution anywhere. Someone has to know something!

Post your EXACT steps, using an example such as the Northwind Database, so
that we can all follow along at home.

We will attempt to do the same steps, and figure out why or a workaround.
