Essay deadline tomorrow, laptop crashed and, yes, no backup. The laptop is
not in a network but when he switches on the owner gets the message "No DHCP
or Proxy DHCP". The Pc then loads no further. He doesn't get into windows
XP.
He has a Manufacturer's Restore disk rather than the Windows XP CD and the
Restore disk doesn't seem to have a repair option. It gives the message that
all data will be lost. (great stuff, eh!)
He has created a previous restore point but doesn't know how to get to it
without getting into Windows first. He has tried pressing F8 on boot up but
that didn't do anything.
Any suggestions?
