Hi,

I have a massive problem. I need XP to change the order of my nics. Im using
win xp pro service pack 1 on an IBM t41. I know that you can go to Network
Connections\advanced and then toggle up and down but this setting returns on
occassion to the wrong order. I want internal NIC 1st and then WIFI NIC. I
need to find they key in the registry where i change the order or what key do
i need to add to get the required result?? PLEASE help this is very urgent!!

Kind regards

Lee

I am unsure of your requirement since I have no such setup. Perhaps
the route.exe command will serve you? My meaning is that with two
NICs one might use route to change the Metric of one or both so that
one of them is the default preferred route?

Otherwise possibly netsh.exe might (or not) be useful.

Sorry this is so thin as I am not particularly clear on the need but
you seemed to want *something* ASAP. <G>
