I am using PP 2007 and have imported a movie maker file. there is text in the
movie that I need to block. I created text boxes of the size and color needed
but as soon as the clip starts to play they dissappear. I also have PS CS3
extended if there is a way to fix this. Please help as the presentation is
due Monday.

As a video is ALWAYS on top while playing, your textbox will always go
backward

There's no simple way to do what you want in PowerPoint. You might try adding
an item from the control toolbox which will stay in front (unless you pause/
restart the video) but probably won't give the effect you need. The only real
solution is to find someone with proper video edit facilities and it will
probably not be free!

The best way to solve this is to re-edit the movie file in Movie Maker.

If you do not have access to the original movie components:
You can import the wmv movie into a blank movie file
insert blocks over the text using the titles layer that will cover the
video layer.
Re-render the movie file
Then re-import into PowerPoint

If you do:
Then just remove the words and re-render.
