Hi, i have downloaded vista on my pc and i have uploaded it to a DVD.. but
when i come to open it, its asking me to specify a file name or type!!??
What does that mean? What file type should it be??
Your help would be grateful..
Dann

You need to use a DVD burning software package that will take the downloaded
ISO file and re-create the Vista DVD. Just burning the ISO file to a DVD is
not the way to do it. Your burning software may support burning from an
"image file" or some similar language.

If you have Nero, then just right-click on the ISO file in Explorer and one
of the options will be something like Burn Disk image.

Tom

Nero should do the trick just fine. Right-click the ISO file, select "Open
With", browse to the \Program Files\Ahead\Nero folder, select nero.exe and
click the "Always open with" box. That will associate all ISO files with
Nero and should allow you to burn them with a single click from now on.

There's a special spot in Nero (outside of the normal burning menu) for
burning image files. In the main window, go to 'Recorder' select your DVD
burner if necessary and then click on 'Burn Image'. Then show it where the
..img file is and proceed to Burn. Colin
