Help, I have a major access problem that is causing mayhem to all my reports

I have an access database which data is gotten from using a vb app using SQL
commands

at 10am this morning all of my reports started going crazy

ive narrowed the problem down to the fact access is converting my date
fields from UK to US

as in if i put the following command into an access query (within access)

Between #01/07/2003# And #30/07/2003#

and then click view SQL

it looks like this:

Between #7/1/2003# And #7/30/2003#

how do i stop this happening - nothing has changed within the database and
the reports worked at < 10am this morning

Thanks in advance

Mike

that doesnt really fix my problem as all my dates come from datetimepickers

and this would mean re-writing the whole of the front end of the database to
convert the dates to US

1. I need to understand why it decided at 10am this morning to convert all
of my dates to US
2. How can i repair the access database so that it doesnt do this
3. How can i stop it happening again

thanks for you reply though it goes along way to helping me understand what
is going on, but i am no closer to being able to fix the problem - other
than re-writing the whole of my vb.net front end - which isnt an option

Is it a PC setting?
