Our tech guy was making some adjustments to the server and he deleted our
profiles! I can finally log in again but it's on a newly created profile. I
had recently imported ALL the data from an earlier calendar program into
Outlook and added at least 75 new contacts to the imported contacts list.
When I open Outlook in the new profile, nothing is there. I went to Local
Settings > Application Data and managed to find an Outlook.dat file that is
quite a bit larger than any of the others I could find. I made a copy of
that file (for safekeeping) and searched for .pst files but I couldn't find
ANY .pst files on the machine. Is there a way to recover my data and get
Outlook to use that .dat file? HELP!!

Just configure Outlook to use the old profile settings. Your profile is not
your data, just the door to access it. Ask the admin where your information
is stored.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Thanks for your reply. The problem has been resolved, slowly but surely. I
ended up having to redo a lot of the other system settings, but that
Outlook.dat file "miraculously" was my .pst file and sure enough it contained
the contacts, mail, etc., that I was so panicked about.
