the CD/DVD drive icon in MY Computer folder. It has got

manufacturer's website and i installed them on my system
(samsung SM-332B)and when it asked me to restart the
system i clicked OK.when i restarted the system in
MyComputer folder i
cannot see the CD/DVD drive in the removable disk area
only thing i can see is the floppy drive, the CD/DVD

The first solution given by someone in this newsgroup is

Did you reboot after removing those entries? I have a rather more
comprehensive version which might make it easier - To tidy up, get a
registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and take
Merge it into the registry. Then reboot

You should *not* normally try to install any specific drivers for a CD
drive. The system itself has the correct ones for any drive - ones you
found at a makers site would be for some other system (probably DOS and
Win95 or 98).
