URGENTLY...My Win2k Server PDC keeps on logon/trying to start up the wrong
domain for it's logon. Previously I have two domains Melbourne.local and
Company.local. Then I deleted Melbourne.local using Win2k Server support
tool adsiedit.exe . But it has always been a problem that all network
computers has still kept the option of loggin into both domain
Melbourne.local and Company.local even though Melbourne.local has been
deleted. But now everytime I start the Win2k Server PDC it keeps on trying
to logon/start Melbourne.local even though it's not there anymore. I reckon
Melbourne.local still lingers in the registry or somewhere. But where and
how do I get rid of it.??????

Why not try removing the domain (melbourne.local) through domain.msc
snap-in. This snap-in can also be found in the administrative tools on the
DC - "Active Directory Domains and Trusts".

Was Melbourne.local the first domain in the forest? If so, you just deleted
the root domain.
Next, a DC is only a DC for one domain. So, if your PDC is trying to logon
to the wrong domain, it is only because that is the domain that it is
configured for.
Removing a domain using a tool will not change the fact that the DC is still
confgiured for that domain, it will only cause severe issues with all
computers that are associated with that domain. This appears as if you have
removed all of the information regarding the domain, without reconfiguring
the client and server computes within that domain.
