I have a small database of terms and definitions.

When I use the form wizard I am able to scroll through the records.

But what I want to be able to do is type in a term on the form, then the
rest of the record is revealled.

I think that I need a macro or an event procedure (on enter or behind a
button) that sets the thing in progress. But I really don't know - gosh, I
hope I'm making some sort of sense to someone out there.

To find a record based on an entry in the form. First create a form
and select the record source (Table or Query). Place all the fields
you want to see. Now create a combo box using the wizard and select
find a record based on the entry selected.

Hope this helps.

A combo box is a text box with an arrow pointing down. When you press
the arrow a list drops down showing the records attached to the
control. Using the toolbox while in the design view of a form select
combo box. Then place this on the form and follow the wizards
questions.

Hope this helps.
