"Urgent!!!!!"Help Explorer.exe hangs the system

I didn't know how suddenly my computer started hanging :-
). But after a long research i found out that it's
explorer.exe that suddenly starts eating(exponentialy)
virtual memory till the computer hangs.The last view that
I had of performance Pf usage was 906Mb and explorer.exe
eating 807Mb and then computer dies.By frequent
experiments I found out that 7 out of 10 times it hanged
when i clicked a perticular file in a particular folder
(just clicked), but this could be wrong as the rest of
the three times it was a different case. I've already
tried Trend Micro and network associates Products.

First check your network clients (Microsoft Client for Windows etc.),
try uninstalling and reinstalling them. I have had explorer crash on
some machines and they seemed to be related to the novell client.
Have you done any updates to the PC lately? What has changed from when
it worked until now?(new programs, updates, upgrades etc)
I suppose you could have spyware, but I doubt it is causing this:

And you said you had no viruses, right?
Check for any windows updates and if that fails I am afraid you will
either have to do a repair installation:(assuming you have XP)
