Make sure that the account you are using to run dcpromo is a member of the
domain admins group for that domain. You do not have to stop the FRS service
to run dcpromo.
 
Hello , i'm new in Active directory and i have a problem.
I have 3 DC in my domain and i want to reinstall one of them. I trye
to use dcpromo to remove Active directory, but File Replication Servic
shows me "Acces is Denied "

when i try "net stop ntfrs" from command promt i get :

System error 5 has occurred.
Access is denied.

i don't stop ntfrs
but dcpromo when connecting to a DC to remove some files ask me anothe
user and password , even i used administrator account ( or a domai
admins user)
