I decided to upgrade my Windows XP home package to xp
pro. I had an error with Roxio GoBack, so I disabled
it. It finally started to run but before getting to the
actual install (it finished the preparing to install and
restarted) it won't load. It sits at the startup screen
with the blue bar at the bottom scrolling as long as I
leave it. It will not go any farther and the keyboard
doesnot seem to work. I've tried booting in safe mode
and previous good conditions but nothing works. I've
tried starting with the cd and without, changing the boot
order, etc. but nothing works. When I boot in safe mode,
rather than the logo startup screen, a list of drivers
(or a directory listing of drivers) is displayed stopping
at agp440.sys folowed by the same nothingness. I can't
seem to start anything enough to edit or change settings
and I move tomorrow and need this fixed. I would
appreciate any suggestions.
