Urgent - Cycle power on a SAN based basic disk?

Hi,

We have a quit urgent problem concerning our SAN loop which involves a need
to cycle power on the SAN FC switch in order for us to discover the AIT robot
library. The issue is that on the same switch we also have a SAN disk array
attached which is configured as a basic disk in a Win2K server. My question
is if we can cycle power on the SAN switch and thus loosing connection to the
SAN disk and then get the disk back when the switch is initialized again? Is
this possible (and safe) using basic disks?

Thanks in advance!

Adding some info to previous post....
We have two basic disks in the server, one system disk which is an internal
HW scsi mirror and one remote storage SAN disk. To further clarify the issue,
we want to reboot the SAN switch without shutting down the server. Can we do
that without getting into trouble with the SAN disk? I imagine it would be
similar to pulling the IDE cable on any ordinary disk but maybe W2K server
can handle it and restore things to normal operations once the disk is online
again?
