Urgent, Cannot connect to Remote Desktop...

I have a xp client behind a Linksys 4 port hub/ethernet
router. The host is at work on VPN. I make a VPN
connection to the corporate network and I am able to map
to the C drive of the host computer. It has remote desktop
enabled too. So, I try using desktop client to work on the
host. I get connected and it displays a welcome dialog for
me. "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to logon". However, this key
sequence is not being sent to the remote computer, so I
cannot really login to the host machine. I am stuck at
this point and any help would be greatly appreciated.
