Hi, world
First id like to say i am very new to SQL and not so hot in Access, so this
is a bit of a nightmare project for me; if there is anything i should know
or any useful websites or whitepapers to assist me that you know of, that
would be much appreciated.
I have successfully upsized my tables in Access 97 to SQL 7 using the upsize
wizard add-in from MS.
I noticed that -
a.. It appends the suffix "_remote" to the attached table.
a.. It creates an aliasing query having the same name as the original table
so that forms, reports, macros, modules, and other queries will work
properly with the new server table.
On SOME of the tables (ones with the incorrect naming convention)
I understand why it has done this, but how to go about changing it i do not.
I want the links to SQL tables in my Access front end to be direct, rather
than re-pointing through a query.
Is there any EASY way I can change the name of the table, before the
upsize, to the correct naming convention, without having to alter EVERY
form, report, macro, module relating to that table.
I have tried using SPEED Ferret, but i cannot get my head around that.
Any thoughts, suggestions much appreciated
Thanks in advance
